Nyamira West Field Sensitized on OneVoice27 as Members Embrace “All Things New”

OneVoice27 as “a lifestyle,” emphasizing that gospel proclamation should become part of the daily life of every believer.

OneVoice27 is a global Seventh-day Adventist Church initiative designed to unite members in proclaiming the gospel through personal evangelism, local church ministry, media and digital platforms, leading toward a worldwide evangelistic emphasis in September 2027.

From “Hope Starts Here” to “Mission for All”

The connection between the two emphases gives Nyamira West Field a clear evangelistic pathway.

“All Things New: Hope Starts Here” presents the hope of renewal in Christ. It reminds people that Jesus offers a new beginning and that the ultimate fulfillment of God's promise is found in the restoration of all things.

OneVoice27: Mission for All, on the other hand, calls the Church to take that message of hope to the world.

In this sense, hope becomes the message and mission becomes the response.

The local church becomes the starting point where people encounter the hope of Christ, while members become messengers carrying that hope beyond the church walls.

This relationship was highlighted during the Kemera sensitization as an important way of helping members understand that OneVoice27 is not an isolated programme but part of the broader mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

The Official Launch

The meeting was attended by the Field's senior leadership, led by Dr. Pr. Thomas Nyakundi, President of Nyamira West Field. He was accompanied by Pr. Zablon Nyanumba, Executive Secretary; Sister Faith Omwenga, Chief Finance Officer; departmental heads; elders; communication leaders; and several youths.

Dr. Nyakundi reminded members of the official OneVoice27 launch held on 5 September 2026 at every local church, calling on members to take the initiative seriously and participate actively.

He emphasized that the local launch should serve as a foundation for sustained preparation toward the worldwide evangelistic emphasis in September 2027.

Communication at the Centre of the Mission

The sensitization also emphasized the growing importance of communication in fulfilling the gospel commission.

With people increasingly accessing information through smartphones, social media, television, radio and other digital platforms, the Church has an opportunity to take the message of Christ to audiences beyond traditional church settings.

OneVoice27 encourages Adventists to use their communication skills and platforms responsibly to share Bible-based content, testimonies, Christian resources and the hope found in Jesus Christ.

The presence of the Hope Channel Kenya media crew underscored the importance of Adventist media in supporting the Church's mission.

Youth Respond With Enthusiasm

The participation of several young people added energy to the sensitization meeting.

Young Adventists are expected to play an important role in OneVoice27 because of their familiarity with digital platforms, social media and emerging communication technologies.

The initiative provides an opportunity for young people to use their creativity, talents and digital skills in the service of the gospel.

Rather than being passive consumers of digital content, young people can become active communicators of the hope found in Jesus.

Members Pledge to Participate

The meeting generated considerable enthusiasm among the participants. Members responded positively to the presentation and pledged to participate in OneVoice27.

The wide representation of Field administrators, pastors, departmental leaders, elders, communication leaders and youth demonstrated the potential for OneVoice27 to become a whole-church mission in Nyamira West Field.

The sensitization reinforced the understanding that evangelism is not the responsibility of pastors and evangelists alone. Every member has a role to play.

Nyamira West Field Looks Ahead to 2027

The Kemera sensitization meeting marks another significant step in Nyamira West Field's preparation for OneVoice27.

As the Seventh-day Adventist Church looks toward the worldwide evangelistic emphasis in September 2027, Nyamira West Field is positioning its churches and members to participate fully.

The message is simple: “All Things New: Hope Starts Here” gives the Church a message of hope, while OneVoice27 calls every believer to share that hope with the world.

Pr. Stephen Okero, Communication Director of Nyamira West Field, thanked Dr. Catherine Ontita and her team for visiting the Field and providing what he described as an insightful experience for the leaders and members.

He appreciated the East Kenya Union Conference Communication Department and the Hope Channel Kenya media crew for their contribution toward helping the Field understand and embrace OneVoice27.

Pr. Okero noted that effective communication will be critical in ensuring that the message of hope reaches both church members and the wider community.

He encouraged communication leaders and members to take advantage of available platforms while keeping Christ at the centre of every message.

The enthusiasm witnessed at the Field Headquarters in Kemera demonstrates that Nyamira West Field is ready to take its place in the global mission.
