Stroke Not a Barrier to Salvation: Special Baptism Inspires Nyamakoroto SDA Church

Faith triumphs over illness as a stroke survivor publicly accepts Christ through a home baptism in Esani District.

NYAMAKOROTO, ESANI DISTRICT — June 27, 2026 — A touching demonstration of unwavering faith was witnessed in Esani District when Mr. Nyamamba Ntiana, a stroke survivor, publicly accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior through a special baptism conducted at his home.

The baptism, held on June 27, 2026, was organized by the District Pastor, Pr. Gilbert Bosire, to ensure that Mr. Ntiana's physical condition would not prevent him from making his public commitment to Christ. Unable to travel to the church because of the effects of a stroke, Mr. Ntiana was baptized at his residence in an improvised makeshift baptismal drum that had been carefully prepared to facilitate the sacred ceremony.

Retired Pastor Peter Mainga officiated the baptism, leading the service with reverence and joy as family members, church members, and friends gathered to witness the remarkable occasion. The unique home setting highlighted the church's commitment to ministering to members wherever they are and ensuring that no sincere believer is denied the opportunity to follow Christ in baptism.

Despite his painful condition, Mr. Ntiana's determination to publicly profess his faith became a powerful testimony that sickness

is not a barrier to salvation. His decision inspired those in attendance and reminded the congregation that God's grace reaches every person regardless of physical limitations.

Following the baptism, the family and church members joined in a joyful time of fellowship, thanksgiving, and prayer, celebrating God's saving grace and welcoming Mr. Ntiana into the fellowship of believers. The event was marked by songs of praise, heartfelt prayers, and expressions of gratitude for God's faithfulness.

The special home baptism stands as a powerful witness to the church's mission of reaching every soul with the gospel and demonstrates that no illness, disability, or circumstance can separate a willing heart from the love of Christ.

"This baptism reminds us that no sickness or physical condition can prevent someone from accepting Jesus Christ. When a soul desires to follow the Lord, the church must do everything possible to make that commitment a reality. God's grace is available to all."
