Faith Before Finals: Nyamira West Field Dedicates Over 1,500 KCSE 2026 Candidates to God

The school's chaplains, Pr. Dominic Ongiri and Pr. Henry Kimori, expressed gratitude to the Seventh-day Adventist Church for honouring the school's invitation to conduct the dedication service. They affirmed their continued spiritual commitment to the candidates.

"We shall continue praying for these young men until they complete their examinations," they pledged.

Speaking during the occasion, Nyambaria Boys Principal, Elder Charles Onyari, thanked the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the school's sponsor, for its unwavering spiritual support over the years.

"The Church has consistently stood with this institution, not only as a sponsor but also as a spiritual partner. We appreciate this continued investment in the lives of our learners," he said.

He assured parents and stakeholders that the candidates were mentally prepared, disciplined, and ready to face the examinations with confidence.

Adding his voice, Dr. Thomas Nyakundi, President of Nyamira West Field and Chairperson of the School Board of Management, reaffirmed the board's commitment to creating a conducive environment for teaching, learning, and examination preparation.

He noted that the management would continue working closely with the administration and teaching staff to ensure every learner receives the necessary support to excel academically and spiritually.

The Form Four Class Supervisor, Mr. Churchill Adika Owino, assured parents that the candidates had undergone thorough preparation and were steadily completing their revision programmes.

"Our boys have worked hard throughout the year. Based on the preparations already made and those currently underway, we are confident they will perform well," he said.

More than 1,200 candidates from Nyambaria Boys High School are expected to sit for the 2026 KCSE examinations.

Meanwhile, at Tombe Girls High School, the dedication service was led by Pr. Geoffrey Ombati, Ministerial Secretary of South East Kenya Field.

Basing his sermon on Job 8:7, he encouraged the candidates not to be discouraged by humble beginnings or past academic challenges.

"Though your beginning was small, your latter end shall greatly increase."

Pr. Ombati reminded the students that God specializes in transforming ordinary beginnings into extraordinary endings and urged them to trust Him completely as they prepare for the examinations.

Tombe Girls Principal, Mrs. Winfridah Orina, expressed confidence in the candidates, assuring parents that the students were emotionally stable, academically prepared, and ready to undertake the national examinations.

She thanked parents, teachers, and the church for their continued partnership in nurturing the learners.

The school expects close to 400 candidates to sit for this year's KCSE examinations.

The Form Four Class Supervisor, Madam Lucy, commended the candidates for their discipline, resilience, and commitment throughout their final year.

She wished them God's blessings and success as they approach the examination season.

The Chairperson of the School Board of Management, Elder Douglas Nyamongo, reaffirmed the board's dedication to ensuring the candidates enjoy the best possible learning and examination environment.

He challenged the candidates to uphold integrity throughout the examination period.

"Face your examinations with clean hands," he urged. "Remain honest, work hard, stay dedicated, and God will surely bless your efforts."

The school's chaplain, Pr. Naftal Ondiba, appreciated the well-organized dedication ceremony and thanked the church leadership for standing with the students.

He appealed to parents, guardians, and church members to continue remembering the girls in prayer until they successfully complete their examinations.

The two dedication services attracted a strong delegation of Nyamira West Field pastors led by Executive Secretary Pr. Zablon Nyanumba, Education Secretary Pr. David Omayio, Health Ministries Director, Pr. Jeremiah Ngoko, Evangelism Director, Dr. Davis Saisi, Communication Director Pr. Stephen Okero, Women Ministries Director, Dr. Gladys Kebaso and several district pastors who joined the schools in offering prayers and words of encouragement.

The occasion was also graced by several school principals from across the region under the leadership of Manga Sub-County Principals Association Chairperson, Mr. Job Rasugu. Addressing the candidates, he emphasized the importance of discipline, strict adherence to examination regulations and attentive to all examination instructions.

The dedication services reflected the Seventh-day Adventist Church's unwavering commitment to nurturing learners spiritually, morally, and academically. Through prayer, biblical encouragement, and the collective support of church leaders, parents, teachers, and school management, the candidates were reminded that while academic preparation is essential, ultimate success comes from God.

As the 2026 KCSE examinations draw near, Nyamira West Field has once again demonstrated its belief that education flourishes best when excellence is anchored in faith, integrity, and dependence upon God. With more than 1,400 candidates dedicated in prayer across the two institutions, the church remains hopeful that these young men and women will not only excel academically but also become faithful ambassadors of Christ and responsible citizens in society.
