With only a few days remaining before the commencement of the 2026 camp meeting season, Nyamira West Field held a comprehensive Camp Meeting Briefing on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at the Field Headquarters in Kemera. The meeting brought together pastors, camp coordinators, and camp speakers to finalize preparations for one of the church's most significant annual spiritual events.

The briefing was organized by Pr. John Saota, the Nyamira West Field Camp Meeting Coordinator, who commended church leaders for their dedication and commitment in preparing for the upcoming camp meetings scheduled to run from July 26 to August 22, 2026.

Pr. Saota challenged camp coordinators to demonstrate Christian hospitality by taking good care of all camp guests and attendees throughout the camp meeting period. He also urged camp speakers to devote themselves to prayerful study of the camp lesson materials and faithfully proclaim God's Word with biblical accuracy, spiritual conviction, and professionalism.

The keynote address and official exposition of the camp meeting theme were delivered by Dr. Thomas Nyakundi, President of Nyamira West Field.

Speaking from Isaiah 1:19–20, Dr. Nyakundi expounded the 2026 camp meeting theme:

"Obey and Live or Disobey and

Perish: The Choice Is Yours."

He emphasized that God's invitation to salvation is inseparably connected to wholehearted obedience and total surrender to Christ. He warned believers against settling for superficial Christianity, reminding the congregation that partial commitment cannot replace genuine conversion.

Quoting Ellen G. White from Christ's Object Lessons, he stated:

"Almost Christians, yet not fully Christians, they seem near the kingdom of heaven, but they cannot enter there. Almost but not wholly saved, means to be not almost but wholly lost."

Dr. Nyakundi encouraged members to make deliberate decisions to obey God completely and prayed that the forthcoming camp meetings would lead to spiritual revival, renewed commitment, and transformed lives throughout the Field.

Also addressing the gathering was Pr. Zablon Nyanumba, Executive Secretary of Nyamira West Field, who called upon church leaders to preserve the spirit of unity during the camp meeting season. He observed that unity among pastors, elders, departmental leaders, and members would strengthen the church's mission and ensure successful camp meetings in every station.

Pr. Jeremiah Ngoko, Director of Publishing and Spirit of Prophecy Ministries, appealed to members to embrace literature evangelism as an effective method of sharing the gospel. He encouraged churches and individual members to intentionally budget for Spirit of Prophecy and other Adventist publications to strengthen personal spiritual growth and support mission outreach.

The Communication Director, Pr. Stephen Okero, urged churches to invest in quality public address systems and ensure they are used appropriately to enhance worship services and the effective proclamation of God's Word during camp meetings and other evangelistic programs.

Leaders also reminded members of the importance of faithful stewardship by returning tithes and offerings and prayerfully supporting the church's mission through the achievement of camp offering targets.

Participants expressed appreciation for the timely preparation and distribution of the 2026 camp meeting teaching materials and pledged to faithfully execute their respective responsibilities during the camp meeting season.

The 2026 Nyamira West Field Camp Meetings will officially begin on Sunday, July 26, 2026, and conclude on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Church members have been encouraged to attend faithfully, invite friends and neighbors, and experience spiritual renewal under this year's inspiring theme:

"Obey and Live or Disobey and Perish: The Choice Is Yours."
