Publishing and Spirit of Prophecy Seminar Successfully Held at Nyamira West Field

A successful Publishing and Spirit of Prophecy Seminar was held on 5th July 2026 at the Nyamira West Field Main Hall, bringing together departmental church leaders from across the field. The seminar recorded a good attendance, reflecting the growing interest in the Publishing and Spirit of Prophecy ministry.

The seminar was hosted by Pr. Jeremiah Ngoko, the Publishing and Spirit of Prophecy Director for Nyamira West Field. The guest speaker was Pr. William Mabuka, the Publishing and Spirit of Prophecy Director at the South Conference, who represented the East Kenya Union Conference (EKUC) Director, Pr. Christabel Kanini.

Delivering his message under the theme "Preparing Hearts Through the Printed Pages," based on Mark 16:15, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature," Pr. Mabuka emphasized the vital role of Christian literature in evangelism. He encouraged believers to faithfully buy, read, and distribute gospel books to people around them, noting that books continue to minister long after human preachers have left. He described literature as a unique evangelistic tool because it is portable, accessible, and can be read anywhere and at any time.

Pr. Mabuka further challenged local church leaders to take a more active role in promoting a reading culture within their congregations, with

special emphasis on the Spirit of Prophecy books. As the church prepares for the upcoming camp meetings, he urged members to appreciate and support literature evangelists by giving them adequate time to present the available publications and by purchasing the books for their personal spiritual growth and outreach.

In his remarks, the host, Pr. Jeremiah Ngoko, commended the leaders for their dedication, commitment, and sacrifice in advancing God's mission through the Publishing and Spirit of Prophecy Department. However, he expressed concern over the low turnout from a few districts. He regretted that in some cases, information about departmental activities does not reach members because a few pastors and church elders fail to relay the communication after receiving it.

Commenting on 2026 camp meetings as a cooperate responsibility, Pr. Ngoko reminded members of this year's camp meeting theme:

As the seminar concluded, Pr. Mabuka wished all the leaders a blessed and spiritually enriching camp meeting season, praying that God would guide and strengthen them as they continue serving His church.
