One of the greatest crises of our age is the crisis of identity. Institutions, organizations, and individuals struggle to answer the most fundamental question: Who are we, and why do we exist? Nyamira West Field has no such confusion. Rooted in the mission statement of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the field exists for one supreme purpose: "to make disciples of Jesus Christ who live as His loving witnesses and proclaim to all people the everlasting gospel of the Three Angels' Messages in preparation for His soon return" (Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 1:8; Revelation 14:6–12). This is not a corporate vision crafted in a boardroom — it is a divine mandate received from the Lord of the church Himself.
This clarity of identity is deeply biblical. In 1 Peter 2:9, the Apostle Peter describes the people of God with stunning specificity: "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." Nyamira West Field understands itself in exactly these terms — not as a human organization seeking relevance, but as a Spirit-called community with a Heaven-appointed mission. Every baptism, every evangelistic series, every community health program, and every Sabbath School lesson is an expression
The field's identity is also eschatologically driven — shaped by the conviction that we live in the final chapter of earth's history. Daniel 12:3 promises that "those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever." Nyamira West Field does not merely seek to grow a denomination — it seeks to prepare a people for eternity. This eschatological urgency gives every aspect of the field's ministry a weight and a meaning that transcends the temporal. We are not building an organization; we are building for eternity.
The mission is further implemented through six Christ-like principles — Living, Communicating, Discipling, Teaching, Healing, and Serving — each drawn directly from the life and ministry of Jesus. These are not abstract ideals but lived realities in the churches, homes, schools, and communities of Nyamira West Field. Colossians 3:17 captures this spirit perfectly: "And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." In Nyamira West Field, everything is done in His name, for His glory, and toward His coming.
