Pr. John Nyabuto began his education at Nyaronde Primary School and later attended St. Gonza-Ga-Gonza Secondary School. After completing secondary school, he worked with the Kenya Power and Lighting Company and subsequently at Kebirigo General Stores. Though originally a staunch Catholic, he later embraced the Adventist faith, marking a significant turning point in his spiritual journey.
After surviving a terrible accident, in 1995, Pr. Nyabuto joined Arusha Adventist College, where he pursued a Diploma in Theology, laying the foundation for his pastoral calling. He later advanced his education at the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology.
Upon completing his studies, he was absorbed by the Nyamira Conference in 1999 and appointed as a district pastor. Over the years, he served faithfully in several districts, including Nyakeiri, Riakworo, Kineni, Tindereti, Nyakongo, and Matangi. In 2015, while serving in the Kineni District, he was entrusted with additional leadership responsibilities as a Station Pastor Representative—a role he diligently carried out until 2023.
In 2023, Pr. Nyabuto was elected to serve as the Ministerial and Family Life Secretary of the Nyamira West Field, a position he successfully retained during the 2025 session.
He is married to Priscah Mwango, and together they are blessed with five adult children: Jackline Bosibori, Enock Omae, Peter
