Pr. Stephen Okero - Communication, Sabbath School, Voice of Prophecy, and Music

Pr. Stephen Onyari Okero is the second-born in a family of six. He attended Riamoni Primary School and later Menyenya SDA Secondary School. He proceeded to Bugema University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Theology degree in 2004. He also holds a Master of Arts degree from Africa Nazarene University.

Pr. Okero began his pastoral ministry as an associate pastor in the Sironga and Manga pastoral districts in 2004. He later served as a chaplain at Tombe Girls High School before returning to pastoral work in the Kiang’inda, Nyamira Central, and Nyambaria districts. He was ordained into the gospel ministry in 2017.

He is currently serving as the Director of Communication, Sabbath School, Voice of Prophecy, and Music at the Nyamira West Field. Together with Pr. Samuel Mosoba, he co-authored A Guide to School Chaplaincy. He is also a radio presenter and Sabbath School lesson teacher at Radio Kisima FM.

Pr. Okero is married to Annah Kerubo, and they are blessed with three children: Esther Nyakara, Abigail Nyanchoka, and Enoch Okero.
